Position parking system control unit with connected electric lines outside the working area. |

Install |

Install holder (17). |
If the holder (17) is not installed.
To do so, position holder (17), as shown, in seat base (12) on weld stud (arrows B) and weld stud (18), and install nut at weld stud (18).

Retrofit PSM (1). |
To do so, slide PSM (1) far enough into holder (17) until the retaining tabs (arrows A) engage. |

Connect electrical connectors (3) with PSM (1). |

Install in the reverse sequence. |

Enter special equipment into on-line vehicle data card. |
Designation of corresponding special equipment: Code ED5 (Parameterizable special module).
Remove existing code ED8 (Pre-installation for electrics, parameterizable special module).
Attach note "Parameterizable special module retrofitted as per AN54.21-D-0002TS " under field organization texts to KG54. |

Perform SCN coding on Common Powertrain Controller (CPC) control unit. |
