Remove/Install Multidisk Brake B05 And Multidisk Brake B06 - AR27.50-P-0616EWM

REMOVING Remove     
1.1 Remove transmission housing (1) from torque converter housing. Transmission 725.0 (except 725.007/017/037/047), 725.103  
      AR27.50-P-0601EWM 
1.2 Remove transmission housing (1) from adapter housing. Transmission 725.007 with code ME06 (Hybrid drive 60 kW variant (incl. plugin))
Transmission 725.017 with code ME05 (Hybrid drive 85 kW-94 kW
variant (incl. plug-in))
Transmission 725.037/047
Transmission 725.1 (except 725.103)		  
    Transmission 725.007 with code ME06 (Hybrid drive 60 kW variant (incl. plugin))

2 Place transmission housing (1) on assembly device (2). SPECIAL TOOL Assembly tool Fig 8
3 Remove retaining ring (3).    
4 Remove clutch pack B05 (4).    
5.1 Attach threaded rod (6), pressure disk (7) and wing nut (8). Transmission 725.0

5.2 Attach threaded rod (6), thrust piece and wing nut (8). Transmission 725.1

6 Tighten wing nut (8) until the L-section ring (9) is exposed and remove L-section ring (9). SPECIAL TOOL Assembly tool Fig 8
7 Remove disk spring (10).    
8 Remove piston (12).    
9 Remove piston ring (11) from piston (12).    
10 Remove retaining ring (13).    
11 Remove clutch pack B06 (5).    
12 Detach threaded rod (6) and attach thrust ring (14) with wing nut (8). SPECIAL TOOL Assembly tool Fig 8
13 Tighten wing nut (8) until the retaining ring (15) is exposed and remove retaining ring (15). SPECIAL TOOL Pliers Fig 6

14 Remove disk spring (16).    
15 Remove coupling flange (17).    
16 Apply some compressed air through center bore at transmission housing (1); while doing so, seal remaining bores and remove piston (18). IMPORTANT Wear safety glasses.  
17 Remove sealing rings (19, 20) from piston (18).    
INSTALLING Install     
18 Oil new sealing rings (19, 20) lightly and mount on piston (18).    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Automatic transmission fluids (ATF) (specification 236.17)   BB00.40-P-0236-17A
19 Insert piston (18).    
20 Check coupling flange (17) for damage and replace, if necessary.    
21 Insert coupling flange (17) into transmission housing (1). IMPORTANT Ensure correct installation position. The lugs (arrows) or cutouts must face forwards.  
22 Insert disk spring (16) into transmission housing (1). IMPORTANT Ensure correct installation position.  
23 Insert assembly sleeve (21) and place retaining ring (15) around assembly sleeve (21). SPECIAL TOOL With large diameter.

24 Mount assembly sleeve (22) onto assembly sleeve (21). SPECIAL TOOL With large diameter.

25 Tighten wing nut (8) over assembly sleeve (22) until the retaining ring (15) engages. IMPORTANT Check for correct seating and installation position. The cutout must face forward.

26 Remove wing nut (8), assembly sleeve (21) and assembly sleeve (22). SPECIAL TOOL With large diameter.

MEASURING Measure     
27 Measure clearance of clutch pack B06 (5) and adjust.   AR27.51-P-7230-01EWM
    Clearance in multidisk brake B06 *BE27.51-P-1002-01E

28 Insert clutch pack B06 (5) into transmission housing (1). IMPORTANT Make sure that it is installed at the correct position. The lugs (arrows) must always face forward.  
29 Insert retaining ring (13) into transmission housing (1).    
30 Check piston ring (11) for damage and replace, if necessary.    
31 Insert piston ring (11) into piston (12).    
32 Insert piston (12) into transmission housing (1). IMPORTANT Make sure that it is installed at the correct position. The hole on the piston (12) must line up with the hole on the transmission housing (1).  
33 Insert disk spring (10) into transmission housing (1). IMPORTANT Pay attention to installation position.  
34.1 Attach threaded rod (6), pressure disk (7) and wing nut (8). Transmission 725.0
IMPORTANT The cutout of the thrust ring (14) must line up with the cutout of the retaining ring (15).

IMPORTANT The cutout of the thrust ring (14) must line up with the cutout of the retaining ring (15).

35 Tighten wing nut (8) and insert L-section ring (9) into transmission housing (1). IMPORTANT Ensure correct seating.

39 Insert retaining ring (3).    
40 Take transmission housing (1) out of assembly device (2). SPECIAL TOOL Assembly tool Fig 8
41.1 Attach transmission housing (1) to torque converter housing. Transmission 725.0 (except 725.007/017/037/047), 725.103 AR27.50-P-0601EWM 
41.2 Attach transmission housing (1) to adapter housing. Transmission 725.007 with code ME06 (Hybrid drive 60 kW variant (incl. plugin))
