| 2 | Pry out radial shaft sealing ring (3) with a suitable tool out of the timing case cover. | Do not damage crankshaft (4) and timing case cover. Use a clean rag as a base when pushing out. Leaks can occur otherwise. |

| 3 | Check contact surface of radial shaft sealing ring (3) at hub of belt pulley (2) for score marks and galling. | If there is a problem, ↓ Replace belt pulley (2). |
