2 Remove oil pan   AR01.45-P-7500MRA
3 Remove oil suction pipe (7)
4 Remove screw/bolts (5s) and take off oil deflector (5)
5 Unscrew screw/bolts (2s) and remove cover (2)
6 Check variant of the balance shaft housing (3) IMPORTANT The variants A (picture A) and B (picture B) differ due to the changed spur gears (3L, 3R). Variant A (picture A) is identified by the wide spur gears (3L, 3R) and an additional circumferential groove (3Rs) on the right spur gear (3R).
IMPORTANT If the disassembly is not because of a problem with the balance shaft housing (3) then the previously installed balance shaft housing (3) can be installed again.

7 Remove screw/bolts (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d) and remove balance shaft housing (3) downwards
8 Check new O-rings of screw/bolts (1a, 1c) for damage NOTES
New O-rings can be damaged through inappropriate packaging and may not be used. Otherwise engine damage can occur. In case of a complaint
↓
Replace new O-rings.

9 Check new screw/bolts (1a, 1c) to see whether the O-rings rest properly on the screw shank in the groove NOTES
The O-ring serves to stabilize the screw shank and should prevent any vibration breakage of the screw/bolts (1a, 1c).
Otherwise engine damage can occur.

INSTALLING Install
10 Move the balance shaft housing (3) into the assembly position on the crankcase (01) NOTES
When assembling a new balance shaft housing (3) ensure that the coating is not damaged. Otherwise the balance shaft housing (3) will be damaged.
IMPORTANT Aid of helper required.

11 Attach balance shaft housing (3) with new screw/bolts (1b, 1d) to crankcase (01) and screw in new screw/bolts (1b, 1d) slightly by hand
12 Tighten new screw/bolts (1a, 1c) slightly by hand NOTES
Ensure that the O-Ring is not pushed out of the groove on the screw shank during assembly or damaged during assembly.
Otherwise engine damage can occur.
