Remove/Install Oil Separator On Crankcase - AR01.20-P-9692MRF

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1.1 Remove the alternator (G2). Engine 264 in model 205, 253

1.2 Remove starter-alternator (M1/10). Engine 264 in model 205, 253

2 Remove left front engine carrier. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Only install lower engine compartment paneling after leak test. AR22.10-P-4325LWA
3 Remove noise insulation (3) from the crankcase until the screws (2) are accessible.    
4 Release and disconnect electrical connector at bleed line (4).    
5 Remove screws (2) in the opposite order to the tightening procedure and remove oil separator (1) with the connected bleed line (4). IMPORTANT The bleed line (4) and oil separator (1) are inseparably connected with each other.
IMPORTANT Observe tightening procedure.

    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, oil separator to crankcase *BA01.20-P-1002-03B 
INSPECT Check     
6 Check seal of oil separator (1) for damage. If problems are present on the sealing ring,
↓
replace oil separator (1).
 
7 Install in the reverse order.    
  Concluding tasks     
8 Check engine oil level and correct if necessary.

WARNING Risk of burn injuries  , suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area. AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
9 Perform engine test run. While doing so, check engine for proper operation and leak tightness.    
10 Install lower engine compartment lining.   AR61.20-P-1105LW
