	Risk of death  due to high voltage in xenon headlamps. Risk of explosion/risk of fire  caused by highly flammable materials in the vicinity of damaged xenon bulbs. Risk of injury  caused by UV light, hot components at xenon headlamps and glass splinters produced by bursting xenon bulbs. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhalation of mercury vapors and by toxic salts and mercury compounds being ingested or coming into contact with skin	Do not touch parts conducting high voltage. Persons with active electronic implants  (e.g. cardiac pacemakers) must never work on xenon headlamps. Switch off the entire lighting system. Wear insulated safety shoes, safety glasses and protective gloves. Remove highly inflammable materials from the hazard area. Ensure sufficient ventilation in the working area.	AS82.10-Z-0001-01A

	Remove/install
1	Carry out initial startup of left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2)	When replacing the left front lamp unit (E1) or the right front lamp unit (E2). Note LAM number string on the left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2).	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit
3	Mask off front bumper using adhesive tape in the area of the left front lamp unit (E1) or the right front lamp unit (E2)	On vehicles with matt paint and when individually removing the left front lamp unit (E1) or the right front lamp unit (E2).
4.1	Detach front fender	When individually removing the left front lamp unit (E1) or the right front lamp unit (E2).	AR88.20-P-2000RK
4.2	Remove front fender	When simultaneously removing the left front lamp unit (E1) and the right front lamp unit (E2).	AR88.20-P-2000RK
5	Detach left or right front fender liner	Detach left or right front fender liner until left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2) is accessible.	AR88.10-P-1300RK
6	Disconnect electrical connector (1) from left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2)
7	Detach washer fluid hose (2) from telescopic nozzle (3)	On vehicles with headlamp cleaning system. Collect washer fluid which flows out.
8	Remove screw/bolt (4)
9	Remove screw/bolt/bolts (5)
10	Remove left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2)
11	Remove telescopic nozzle (3)	On vehicles with headlamp cleaning system. When replacing the left front lamp unit (E1) or the right front lamp unit (E2).	AR82.15-P-6100RK
12.1	Remove left xenon light power supply module (E1n4) or right xenon light power supply module (E2n4)	Model 231 with code 614 (Bi-xenon headlamps) with code 615 (Bi-xenon headlamps with active light function) When replacing the left front lamp unit (E1) or the right front lamp unit (E2). 13	Remove left front actuation module, LED exterior lighting (E1n7) or right front actuation module, LED exterior lighting (E2n7)	Model 231 with code 614 (Bi-xenon headlamps) with code 615 (Bi-xenon headlamps with active light function) When replacing the left front lamp unit (E1) or the right front lamp unit (E2). 14	Install in the reverse order
