Perform wheel alignment check - AR40.20-P-0200NKB

MODEL 117, 156, 176, 242, 246 

	Measure
1	Drive the vehicle onto the measuring station and secure using the parking brake	The measuring system must be approved by Mercedes-Benz.
2.1	Move gearshift lever into the "neutral" position	Transmission 711.6
2.2	Move selector lever to position "P"	Transmission 724.0
3	Open window in driver door	Preparations for checking steering lock.
4	Remove fire extinguisher from driver seat	MODEL 117, 156, 176, 242, 246 with CODE 682 (Fire extinguisher)
5	Switch off ignition
6	Carry out conditions and tests for chassis alignment		AR40.20-P-0260SX
7	Unlock turnplates and sliding platforms	Rock vehicle to settle suspension at front and rear to place the vehicle in a ready-to-drive condition.
8	Check vehicle level at front and rear axle using electronic inclinometer and adjust if necessary		AR40.20-P-0301NKB
		Depending on the measurement result the vehicle level must be adjusted at the front and rear axle.
9	Using the adapter, install the brake pedal retaining tool between the pedal and the driver seat	Cover up the brake pedal and the front seat. Otherwise the brake pedal or the front seat may be damaged. The vehicle must not be loaded again.

10	Attach Mercedes-Benz quick-clamping devices		AR40.20-P-0230SX
11	Fit on measuring heads	For attaching the measuring heads, see corresponding manufacturer's operating instructions.
12	Perform initial measurement	For carrying out the initial measurement, see corresponding dimensional check system operating instructions.
13	Checking rear axle camber	According to results of initial measurement.

14	Adjust rear-axle toe	According to results of initial measurement.

15	Adjust camber at front axle	According to results of initial measurement.

16	Check caster on front axle	According to results of initial measurement.

17	Adjust front axle toe	According to results of initial measurement.

18	Check toe-out angle	According to results of initial measurement.

19	Perform final measurement	If the vehicle-specified values are not achieved, the operation steps 12 to 18 must be repeated.
20	Detach measuring heads
21	Detach Mercedes-Benz quick-clamping devices		AR40.20-P-0230SX
22	Remove brake pedal jack tool with its adapter	Brake pedal jack	Fig 2
