Remove/Install Axle Shaft Radial Shaft Seals - AR27.40-P-0210RQ

	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

	Remove/install
1	Remove right rear wheel and tire assembly.		AR40.10-P-1100RQ
2	Remove right rear axle shaft.		AR35.30-P-0620RQ
3	Pry cover cap (1) out of rear axle shaft flange (5) using suitable tool.
4	Unscrew connecting bolt (4) and remove together with retaining ring (2).	When slackening off and tightening the connecting bolt (4), counterhold at the left rear wheel and tire assembly.
		Before fitting, thoroughly clean connecting bolt (4) and coat with superfast adhesive.

		Quick-acting adhesive, Loctite 270	*BR00.45-Z-1008-02A
5	Attach left rear wheel and tire assembly.	When replacing left radial shaft sealing ring (6).	AR40.10-P-1100RQ
6	Remove left rear axle shaft.	When replacing left radial shaft sealing ring (6).	AR35.30-P-0620RQ
7	Pull respective rear axle shaft flange (5) out of transmission (27).
8	Pry respective radial shaft sealing ring (6) out of transmission (27) using a suitable tool.	Do not hammer in the prying-out tool between the radial shaft sealing ring (6) and the transmission housing. The sealing surfaces can be damaged otherwise.
		Push radial shaft sealing ring (6) uniformly into transmission housing using drift (033). Use drift (033) together with the "A" pressure plate (033a).

	Check
9	Check contact surface of radial shaft sealing ring (6) on rear axle shaft flange (5).	If score marks and galling are present, ↓ Replace rear axle shaft flange (5).
10	Install in the reverse order.
11	Check transmission oil level and correct if necessary.
