	Remove
1	Open hood		AR88.40-P-1000RG
2	Attach front cover for magnesium radiator cross member

		When working in the engine compartment, the front cover for the magnesium radiator cross member must be fitted into place to protect the magnesium radiator cross member. Otherwise, the surface coating on the radiator cross member made of magnesium may be damaged.
3	Drain air conditioning system		AR83.30-P-1760RQ
4	Remove engine cover (1)
5	Remove front engine interior compartment cover (2)
6	Remove screws/bolts (3) and remove cross member (4)
7	Remove radiator		AR20.20-P-3865MNB
8	Unclip condenser (5) in direction of arrow from retaining frame (6) until desiccant cartridge (7) is accessible	Do not disconnect refrigerant lines from condenser (5).
9	Remove desiccant cap (8) from desiccant cartridge (7)
10	Screw in bolt M8 (9) in desiccant head (10)	Bolt M8 (9) is not included in the parts kit of the new desiccant bag (13). Bolt M8 (9) is only required as disassembly and assembly aid.
11	Using bolt M8 (9), press down desiccant head (10) to ensure clearance of retaining ring (12)
12	Remove retaining ring (12)
13	Remove desiccant head (10) from desiccant cartridge (7) by pulling up at bolt M8 (9)
14	Remove bolt M8 (9) from desiccant head (10)
15	Remove desiccant module (11) with desiccant bag (13) by turning alternately and simultaneously pulling up from desiccant cartridge (7)
	Check
16	Check packaging of desiccant bag (13) for damage	After opening the packaging, the desiccant bag (13) must be installed within 20 minutes. If this time window is exceeded, the desiccant bag (13) is unusable. The desiccant cap (8), desiccant head (10), desiccant module (11), retaining ring (12) and desiccant bag (13) are included in the scope of supply and must be replaced. If packaging is not damaged ↓ Remove desiccant bag (13) from packaging. If packaging is damaged ↓ Dispose of desiccant bag (13) and replace it.
	Install
17	Insert desiccant bag (13) into desiccant module (11)
	Compressor oils (specification 362.1)		BB00.40-P-0362-01A
		The sealing ring of the desiccant module (11) must be moistened with compressor oil.
18	Insert desiccant module (11) with desiccant bag (13) into desiccant cartridge (7)	Desiccant module (11) with desiccant bag (13) must be carefully inserted by hand and without using tools. Otherwise, the desiccant bag (13) may be damaged. Avoid jamming the desiccant module (11). Otherwise, the desiccant module (11) can break.
19	Screw bolt M8 (9) into desiccant head (10) and insert desiccant head (10) into desiccant cartridge (7) up to end stop
	Compressor oils (specification 362.1)		BB00.40-P-0362-01A
		The sealing ring of the desiccant head (10) must be moistened with compressor oil. Bolt M8 (9) is not included in the parts kit of the new desiccant bag (13). Bolt M8 (9) is only required as disassembly and assembly aid.
20	Install retaining ring (12)	Check retaining ring (12) is correctly seated in the desiccant cartridge (7).
21	Pull desiccant head (10) up to stop at retaining ring (12)
22	Remove bolt M8 (9) from desiccant head (10)
23	Fasten desiccant cap (8)
	Compressor oils (specification 362.1)		BB00.40-P-0362-01A
		The seal of the desiccant cap (8) must be moistened with compressor oil.
24	Press condenser (5) forwards and clip into retaining frame (5)
25	Install radiator		AR20.20-P-3865MNB
26	Insert and position cross member (4)
27	Tighten bolts (3)
28	Install front engine compartment cover (2) and engine cover (1)
	Check
29	Evacuate air conditioning system, refill it, and then check the system to make sure that it functions correctly and does not leak		AR83.30-P-1760RQ
