Replace Pilot Bushing - AR41.10-P-0250LW

Model 205, 213, 238, 253 (except 253.992/993)

CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.		 AS00.00-Z-0017-01A
  Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts   AH00.00-N-0001-01A
  Notes on threaded connections fastened using a tightening angle-based tightening process   AH00.00-P-0020-01A
REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove propeller shaft (1). Model 253 (except 253.992/993) AR41.10-P-0050LWX 
Model 205, 213, 238 AR41.10-P-0050LW 
2 Check sealing lips on front and rear pilot bushing (10) for wear and damage. If problems exist,
↓
Replace corresponding pilot bushing (10).		  
3 Separate propeller shaft (1) at slide joint.   AR41.10-P-0050-05LW 
Long-life grease *BR00.45-Z-1001-06A 
4 Remove flex disk (12).   AR41.10-P-0040-01LW 
REFER TO SHOP-MADE TOOLS Drift for releasing the fitting sleeves in the flexible couplings   WF58.50-P-4110-01A
SPECIAL TOOL Counterholder Fig 1
5 Remove pilot bushing (10).   AR41.10-P-0250-02LW 
INSTALLING Install     
6 Pack cavity of front and rear pilot bushing (10) with grease.    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Multipurpose grease (NLGI Class 2)   BB00.40-P-0267-00A
7 Press in pilot bushing (10).   AR41.10-P-0250-03LW 
Model 213 Press-in dimension "a" from face end of pilot bushing to joint flange *BE41.10-P-1001-04O 
Model 253 Press-in dimension "a" from face end of pilot bushing to joint flange *BE41.10-P-1001-04N 
Model 205 Press-in dimension "a" from face end of pilot bushing to joint flange *BE41.10-P-1001-04K 
Model 238 Press-in dimension "a" from face end of pilot bushing to joint flange *BE41.10-P-1001-04P 
8 Install flex disk (12).   AR41.10-P-0040-01LW 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 213 Flexible coupling to transmission/rear axle differential or propeller shaft *BA41.10-P-1001-01M 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 238 Flexible coupling to transmission/rear axle differential or propeller shaft *BA41.10-P-1001-01N 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Model 205

9 Connect propeller shaft (1) to slide joint.   AR41.10-P-0050-05LW

10 Install propeller shaft (1). Model 253 (except 253.992/993) AR41.10-P-0050LWX
