- Check front propeller shaft (20a), rear propeller shaft (20b), thrust plate (1), seal bellows (2) and propeller shaft intermediate bearing (7) for wear and damage, and replace if necessary.
- Coat splined profile of rear propeller shaft (20b) with long-life grease.
- Connect front propeller shaft (20a) and rear propeller shaft (20b).
The humps of the front propeller shaft (20a) must be located between the two humps on the rear propeller shaft (20b) (arrows). Make sure that the seal bellows (2) is seated correctly.
