1	Secure vehicle against rolling away, shift transmission to neutral position, and release parking brake.
2	Deactivate easy entry and exit feature. 3	Move front wheels to straight-ahead position and fix steering wheel in place with holding device. 7	Remove air intake hose upstream of the air filter housing.

9	Release and disconnect electrical connector from the overrun mode bypass air switchover valve (Y101) and place electric line (3) to one side.
10	Release and disconnect electrical connector from the full-load operation vent line heater element (R39/2) and place electric line (5) to one side.
11	Unclip engine wiring harness (6) from the charge air intake manifold (7) and place to one side.
12	Release and disconnect purge line (8) from the charge air intake manifold (7).
13	Remove bleed line (9) from the charge air intake manifold (7).	Pliers for click clamps	Fig 4

33	Remove oil separator (25) from the crankcase (26) and place to one side.	Installation:  Replace seal.

34	Unclip oil separator (25) together with the charge air intake manifold (7), partial load bleed line (17), and wide open throttle bleed line (21) and remove upward.	The oil separator (25), charge air intake manifold (7), partial load throttle bleed line (17), and wide open throttle bleed line (21) form a single unit and may not be separated. Leaks can occur otherwise.
35	Check oil separator (25), charge air intake manifold (7), partial load bleed line (17), and wide open throttle bleed line (21) for damage.	If problems exist, ↓ replace oil separator (25) together with the charge air intake manifold (7), partial load throttle bleed line (17), and wide open throttle bleed line (21).
36	Install in the reverse order.
	Check
	Risk of burn injuries,  suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation  and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. 	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. 37	Perform engine test run. While doing so, check engine for proper operation and leak tightness.
