Remove/Install Rear-End Door - AR72.20-S-1901E

Model 447.6/7 

With Code W50 (Rear-end door, double-wing, 180 degrees without window) 

Model 447.6/7 

With Code W54 (2-wing rear-end door, 270 degrees)

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove passage (3) from body When removing right rear-end door (1).
SPECIAL TOOL Mounting wedge

2 Disconnect windshield washer hose (4) from separating point Model 447.6/7 with code W50 (Rear-end door, double-wing, 180 degrees without window) with code W78 (Window in tailgate or hinged rear door with wipe/wash system)
Model 447.6/7 with code W54 (2-wing rear-end door, 270 degrees) with code W78 (Window in tailgate or hinged rear door with wipe/wash system)
When removing right rear-end door (1).
 
3 Disconnect electrical connector (5) When removing right rear-end door (1).
IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors varies according to vehicle equipment.
 
4 Disconnect electrical connector (6) When removing left rear-end door (2).
IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors varies according to vehicle equipment.
 
5 Remove passage (9) from body When removing left rear-end door (2).
SPECIAL TOOL Mounting wedge

6 Guide electrical wiring harness (8) out of corner pillar (7) When removing left rear-end door (2).  
7 Unhook door check strap (10) from body at corresponding side of vehicle Model 447.6/7 with code W54 (2-wing rear-end door, 270 degrees)  
8 Mark assembly position of right rear-end door (1) or left rear-end door (2) in relation to corresponding upper hinge (12) and lower hinge (14)    
9 Unscrew bolts (11) on corresponding side of vehicle from upper hinge (12) IMPORTANT Helper required.
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, hinge to rear-end door
*BA72.20-Z-1002-01KOJ 
10 Unscrew bolts (13) from lower hinge (14) and remove right rear-end door (1) or left rear-end door (2) IMPORTANT Helper required.
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, hinge to rear-end door
*BA72.20-Z-1002-01KOJ 
11 Disassemble right rear-end door (1) If necessary. AR72.20-S-2411E 
12 Assemble left rear-end door (2) If necessary. AR72.20-S-2401E 
13 Install in the reverse order    
INSPECT Check     
14 Check gap dimensions and right rear-end door (1), adjust if necessary When removing right rear-end door (1). AR72.20-S-1032E 
15 Check gap dimensions and left rear-end door (2), adjust if necessary When removing left rear-end door (2). AR72.20-S-1032E 
16 Check all electrical consumers of right rear-end door (1) for proper function When removing right rear-end door (1).  
17 Check all electrical consumers of left rear-end door (2) for proper function When removing left rear-end door (2).
