Repair method modified.

Remove windshield.

	Remove/install
1	Remove front overhead control panel (5)		AR82.20-P-1100GQC
2	Remove windshield		AR67.10-P-1700GQC
3	Remove grab handles (3)	Model 292 except code 413 (Automatic panoramic sliding sunroof)

4	Remove upper B-pillar trims		AR68.30-P-4700GQ
5	Remove interior lights (2) and disconnect electrical connectors
6	Remove paneling on C-pillars		AR68.30-P-4490GQC
7	Fold back front seat backrests
8	Remove edge guard in area of roof lining (1) from body
9	Detach rear roof lining (1) and lower until electrical connector of PARKTRONIC system warning display is accessible	Model 292 with code 220 (PARKTRONIC) The roof lining (1) is held in place by magnets.
10	Disconnect electrical connector from PARKTRONIC system warning display	Model 292 with code 220 (PARKTRONIC)
11	Unclip PARKTRONIC system warning display	Model 292 with code 220 (PARKTRONIC) Only when replacing roof lining (1).

12	Remove inside bearings for sun visors (4)	Mounting wedge	Figure
13	Unclip retaining frame of front overhead control panel (5) from roof frame	Long wedge	Figure
14	Detach roof lining (1) at front from roof frame and lower until electrical connectors of illuminated vanity mirror are accessible	The roof lining (1) is held in place by magnets.
15	Unlock electrical connectors on illuminated vanity mirror and disconnect
16	Remove illuminated vanity mirror	Only when replacing roof lining (1).
17	Detach roof lining (1) from roof frame and lower	The roof lining (1) is held in place by magnets. Helper required.
18	Remove roof lining (1) from the vehicle to the front, through the opening of the removed windshield	Handle roof lining (1) with care, do not kink and place on a clean surface. Otherwise damage and soiling can occur. Helper required.
	Check
19	Check whether all magnets on the roof lining (1) are present	In the case of complaints. ↓ Remove old adhesive residues and glue new magnets onto the intended positions on the roof lining (1). 2-component adhesive/Devcon 5 MIN. epoxy	*BR00.45-Z-1072-02A
20	Check all dampings on roof lining (1) for correct seating and condition	Model 292 with code 494 (US version) In the case of complaints. ↓ Replace roof lining (1).
21	Install in the reverse order
