| 8 | Lower rear axle differential (50) until bolts (52s) are accessible | Do not lower the rear axle differential (50) too far. Otherwise the drive shafts (37) will be damaged. |

| 9 | Remove spacer ring (9) | ||
| 10 | Remove bolts (52s) and take off end cover (52) | Carefully release the end cover (52) e.g. using a screwdriver or assembly lever. Do not damage sealing surfaces. Otherwise, leaks may occur. |
