DISASSEMBLING Disassemble     
1 Remove left or right hub reduction gear (1) from rear axle.   AR35.25-P-0645GWX 
2 Disassemble left or right hub reduction gear (1).   AR35.25-P-0650-01GWX

3 Clean all removed parts with suitable means.

    Loctite 7063 (400 ml) cleaning spray *BR00.45-Z-1046-04A 
    Loctite 7200 *BR00.45-Z-1038-04A 
INSPECT Check     
5 Check oil holes for deposits. If deposits are present,  
    ↓  
    Clean oil holes.  
6 Check all removed parts for damage and wear. If problems are found,  
    ↓  
    replace affected components.  
    IMPORTANT Always replace shaft seals.  
    IMPORTANT Always replace all sealing rings for filler and drain screws.  
    IMPORTANT Always replace bearings or bearing shells after removal with the aid of tools. Always replace all bearings as a unit comprised, if applicable, of bearing shell and bearing cage with appropriate thrust plates or thrust pieces.  
MEASURING Measure     
7 Measure housing depths. If parts of the relay spur gear are replaced. AR35.25-P-0650-03GWX 
    IMPORTANTCommercially available tools 
Digital vernier caliper.

ASSEMBLING Assemble

8 Disassemble left or right hub reduction gear IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools 
Hot plate.		 AR35.25-P-0650-02GWX 
    Heating oven.  
    Screw press.  
    Soft face hammer.

    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Hub reduction gear housing screws *BA35.25-P-1006-02A 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw plug, wheel hub *BA35.25-P-1005-02A
