| 1 | Vent pressure in AIRmatic system using diagnostic system | ||

| 2 | Remove left or right front wheel-and-tire assembly | AR40.10-P-1101A | |
| 3 | Detach electrical connection (1) from suspension strut (2) | ||
| 4 | Open cable duct (3) on suspension strut (2) and place to one side with connected lines | ||
| 5 | Unhook brake hose (4) from brackets on suspension strut (2) | ||
| 6 | Detach suspension strut (2) from spring control arm (5) | Observe insertion direction of bolt (6). Bolt (6) must be inserted from the rear towards the front. Otherwise, the brake or the rim may be damaged. |

| 10 | Remove cover (9) or service flap (10) from suspension strut tower | ||
| 11 | Detach pressure line (11) from suspension strut (2) and seal with stop plug | *BA32.22-P-1006-03G | |

If pressure line connection or pressure line (11) is damaged: Repair AIRmatic pressure line connection. |

| 12 | Unscrew nuts (12) from corresponding suspension strut (2) | *BA32.25-P-1001-04P | |
| 13 | Remove suspension strut (2) downwards | Carefully remove suspension strut (2). Otherwise the spring control arm strut on the spring control arm (5) may be damaged. When extending suspension strut (2), do not tension the brake hose (4). Otherwise, the brake hose (4) may be damaged. |

| 14 | Check condition of suspension strut (2) | If there are problems: ↓ Replace suspension strut (2). |

| 15 | Measure length of new suspension strut (2) and compare dimension with value in leaflet | When replacing suspension strut (2). If there are problems: ↓ Do not install suspension strut (2). |

| 16 | Check condition of suspension strut link on spring control arm (5) | If there is damage or wear: ↓ Replace spring control arm (5). |
