	Remove
1	Raise vehicle		AR00.60-P-1002LWG
2	Remove wheel trim	Vehicle with hubcaps.
3	Remove wheel bolts and remove wheel-and-tire assemblies	Socket wrench	Fig 3
	Check
4	Check tires for signs of damage and make sure that they are in good condition

	Install
5	Clean and check wheel bolt connection components, then protect against corrosion		AR40.10-P-1100-02A
		Before mounting a wheel-and-tire assembly all the following operation steps must be carefully conducted. The complete wheel can otherwise work its way loose from the vehicle.
		Assembly cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
		Paste, hot lubrication 1 kg, DBL 6879.20	*BR00.45-Z-1005-06A
6	Change round wheel-and-tire assemblies on front and rear axles	If necessary and only on vehicles without mixed tires. Note running direction of wheel-and-tire assemblies. Otherwise handling characteristics and handling comfort may be impaired and tire wear increased.
7	Mount wheel-and-tire assembly and tighten wheel bolts	Observe the tightening sequence (1 to 5).

8	Lower vehicle		AR00.60-P-1002LWG
9	Correct tire pressure of front and rear axle tires
	Correct tire inflation pressure		AP40.15-P-4061A
10	Attach hubcaps	Vehicle with hubcaps. Check for correct positioning of hubcaps relative to valve and check for firm seating. Otherwise, the valve may be damaged or the hubcaps may be lost.
11	Restart tire pressure monitor using instrument cluster	Model 205, 253 with code 475 (Tire pressure monitoring system) Select following menu items: Service → Tire pressure
