Perform wheel alignment check - AR40.20-P-0200LW

MODEL 205 

MEASURING Measure     
1 Drive vehicle on to measuring station and move measuring station to horizontal measuring position IMPORTANT The measuring system must be approved by Mercedes-Benz.

2 Switch off easy entry/exit MODEL 205
with CODE 275 (Driver's seat, electrically adjustable with memory function)
NOTES
The steering wheel may move to a different position if e.g. the driver door is opened or closed.
The steering wheel and the headliner may then be damaged if the holding device is installed.
IMPORTANT Switch off using the buttons on the steering wheel in the "Comfort" menu of the multifunction display, see Owner's Manual.
 
3 Open window in driver door IMPORTANT Preparations for checking steering lock.  
4 Carry out conditions and tests for chassis alignment   AR40.20-P-0260SX 
5 Unlock turnplates and sliding platforms    
6 Raise vehicle level and then lower again MODEL 205
with CODE 489 (AIRMATIC)
IMPORTANT To do so, press the switch on the center console. Raising and lowering the vehicle reduces play in the suspension.
 
7 Insert brake pedal jack with adapter for brake pedal jack between the brake pedal and driver seat and close driver door IMPORTANT Protect brake pedal and driver's seat against any damage. The vehicle must not be loaded again.

8 Check vehicle level at front and rear axle with electronic inclination meter and adjust, if necessary   AR40.20-P-0301LW 
9 Attach Mercedes-Benz quick-clamping devices   AR40.20-P-0230SX 
10 Fit on measuring heads IMPORTANT See corresponding manufacturer operating instructions.  
11 Perform initial measurement IMPORTANT See corresponding measuring system operating instructions.  
12 Checking rear axle camber   AR40.20-P-0331LW 
IMPORTANT According to results of initial measurement. The camber on the rear axle is not adjustable.
13 Adjust rear-axle toe   AR40.20-P-0261LW 
IMPORTANT According to results of initial measurement.
14 Adjust camber and caster at the front axle   AR40.20-P-0263LW 
IMPORTANT According to results of initial measurement.
15 Adjust front axle toe   AR40.20-P-0264LW 
IMPORTANT According to results of initial measurement.
16 Check toe-out angle   AR40.20-P-0325LW 
IMPORTANT According to results of initial measurement.
17 Perform final measurement    
18 Detach measuring heads    
19 Detach Mercedes-Benz quick-clamping devices   AR40.20-P-0230SX 
20 Remove brake pedal jack tool with its adapter SPECIAL TOOL Adapter for brake pedal winch Fig 2

21 Lock turntables and sliding platforms    
22 Drive vehicle off measuring system    
23 Switch on easy entry and exit feature MODEL 205
with CODE 275 (Driver's seat, electrically adjustable with memory function)
IMPORTANT Switch on using the buttons on the steering wheel in the "Comfort" menu of the multifunction display, see Owner's Manual.
 
24 Check headlamp adjustment
