Remove/Install Seat Belt With Emergency TENSIONING Retractor - Ar91.40-D-0630B

DANGER Risk of injury  caused by performing testing or repair work on airbag or emergency tensioning retractor units. Store airbag units with deployment side facing up; do not expose to temperatures greater than 100 °C. When working on these units, disconnect the power supply. AS91.00-Z-0001-01A

REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove ignition key from ignition lock    
2 Remove seat belt (1) from seat MODEL 906
without CODE ZO1 (Camper James Cook Compact)
without CODE ZO2 (Camper James Cook Classic)
AR91.40-D-1030-01A 
3 Remove B-pillar trim (4) MODEL 906 AR68.30-D-4700A
4 Remove seat belt (1) at belt height adjuster (2)   AR91.40-D-1015-01A 
DANGER Risk of injury.  Injury may result when the tension in the spring in the automatic belt retractor is released. Never disassemble automatic belt retractors. AS91.00-Z-0002-01A 
5 Remove automatic belt retractor (3) at B-pillar   AR91.40-D-1015-02A 
IMPORTANT Pay attention to proper and environmentally friendly disposal when exchanging an inertia reel (3) with emergency tensioning retractor.  
INSPECT Check     
6 Check belt height adjuster (2) for proper operation and replace if necessary Belt height adjuster (2) must be replaced:

Remove/install belt height adjuster from B-pillar

INSTALLING Install     
7 Mount automatic belt retractor (3) to B-pillar   AR91.40-D-1015-02A 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Inertia reel on B-pillar *BA91.40-N-1003-01B 
8 Attach seat belt (1) to belt height adjuster (2)   AR91.40-D-1015-01A 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt on upper guide point *BA91.40-N-1002-01B 
9 Install B-pillar cover (4) MODEL 906 AR68.30-D-4700A
10 Mount seat belt (1) to seat MODEL 906
without CODE ZO1 (Camper James Cook Compact)
without CODE ZO2 (Camper James Cook Classic)
 
  AR91.40-D-1030-01A 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, belt end fitting to seat *BA91.40-N-1008-01B 
INSPECT Check     
11 Check seat belt (1) for proper operation IMPORTANT The seat belt (1) must be able to be pulled out easily and must automatically roll up again when released. When tugged on abruptly, the automatic belt retractor (3) must lock up.  
12 Connect diagnostic system and perform quick test    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-D-2000-04SD
13 Read out fault memory of supplemental restraint system (SRS) and delete fault memory    
14 Disconnect diagnostic system
