Selection of TV channel function sequence

The TV combination tuner (analog/digital) (A90/1) receives TV signals over direct lines from the following TV antennas via the associated antenna amplifiers:

The TV combination tuner (analog/digital) evaluates the TV signals and transmits analog audio signals via a stereo line and analog picture signals via a Y/C line to the DVD player (A40/4).

The DVD player forwards the analog audio signals via a stereo line and the analog picture signals via a Y/C line to the respective display. The user interface is displayed on the screen of the respective display.

The rear passenger(s) can now select a TV channel using the above-specified controls on the remote control (see Operating instructions). The signals from the above-specified controls on the remote control are transferred via the infrared (IR) interface on the remote control to the respective display.

The respective display forwards the signals to the TV combination tuner (analog/digital) via the telematics CAN. The TV combination tuner (analog/digital) evaluates these signals and transmits analog audio signals via a stereo line and analog picture signals via a Y/C line back to the DVD player.

The DVD player forwards the analog audio signals via a stereo line and the analog picture signals via a Y/C line to the respective display. The user interface is displayed on the screen of the respective display.

Settings in "TV" menu item via remote control function sequence

The respective display generates the digital picture signals for the user interface of the "TV" menu item on the screen of the respective display based on the analog picture signals from the DVD player. The menus and submenus of the "TV" menu item are displayed for the rear passenger(s) on the screen of the respective display (see operating instructions).

The rear passenger(s) can now operate the functions and adjust settings using the above-specified controls on the remote control (see Operating instructions).

The signals from the above-specified controls on the remote control are transferred via the IR interface on the remote control to the respective display.

Transmission of audio and picture signals function sequence

Upon reception of the analog picture signals from the TV channel which is tuned in from the TV combination tuner (analog/digital) via Y/C lines and the DVD player, the respective display generates the digital picture signals for the associated screen on the respective display.

The digital picture signals are output on the screen of the respective display.

Upon reception of the analog audio signals from the TV channel which is tuned in from the TV combination tuner (analog/digital) via stereo lines and the DVD player, digital audio signals are generated from these analog audio signals.

These digital audio signals are transferred via the IR interface of the respective display and the IR interface of the connected headphones to these headphones (cordless).

Volume can only be adjusted via the volume control integrated in the respective headphones.

IMPORTANT When headphones (cable-connected) are connected via the headphone jacks integrated in the respective displays, the analog audio signals are transferred to the respective headphones via the headphone cable by the respective display. The volume is adjusted via the "Volume +/-" control on the remote control. Additionally, the preset volume can be regulated via the volume control of the particular headphones. The signals from the "Volume +/-" control on the remote control are transferred via the IR interface on the remote control to the respective display.
