The TV combination tuner (analog/digital) is a subscriber of the MOST and communicates with the COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3).
Demodulating and decoding signals
The TV signals are evaluated internally and separated into video and audio signals.
As of 1.7.09 the TV combination tuner (analog/digital) supports the following functions:
- Electronic Program Guide:
Enables reception and display of information about the broadcast (e.g. title, time, duration of broadcast, encryption, program category, age restriction, etc.).
- On vehicles with code (864) Rear entertainment system or code (866) Rear entertainment preinstallation, the left rear display and right rear display can access the TV combination tuner (analog/digital) independently of each other.
