	Remove/install

1	Release parking brake	Only if removing brake disk (3) at the rear axle.
2.1	Remove brake caliper or brake caliper support from steering knuckle or hub/rotor assembly	MODEL 166 Only when removing brake disk (3) at front axle

		Do not kink brake hose or subject it to tension and fasten brake caliper (1) free of tension at vehicle. Otherwise the brake hose will be damaged. Do not detach brake hose at brake caliper (1).

3	Move back parking brake at adjusting mechanism	MODEL 164
		Adjust parking brake If the parking brake drums are run in, turn back parking brake adjuster first. Otherwise the parking brake shoes may be damaged.	AR42.20-P-0540GZ
4	Remove screw/bolt (2) and remove brake disk (3)	Replace bolt (2).

5	Check brake disk (3)

	Clean
7	Clean contact surfaces and interference fit of brake disk (3)
8	Lightly grease seat of brake disk (3)	Paste, hot lubrication 1 kg, DB supply specification 6879.20	*BR00.45-Z-1005-06A
9	Install in the reverse order
	Risk of accident  when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service brake is operated for the first time after repair work.	Before starting engine, actuate brake pedal several times until pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system.	AS42.50-Z-0002-01A
10	Operate the brake pedal several times until brake linings make contact with the brake disks (3)	Firm resistance should be noticeable at the brake pedal.
11	Check fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir, correct if necessary
