Activate anti-theft alarm system, function - GF80.50-P-2002T
MODEL 211.0/2 with code (551a) Anti-theft alarm system (ATA)
Function prerequisites:
- transmitter key (A8/1) removed (circuit 15c OFF).
Activation (arming) ATA
The anti-theft alarm (ATA) is activated by:
- Actuate transmit button "Lock" on transmitter key (A8/1).
- Relock function
- Lock vehicle with keyless go (on vehicles with code (889) keyless go).
Partial activation of ATA
By switching off:
- via towing sensor switch (S93/3s2) or
- via IRS switch (S93/3s3) (with code (882b) infrared interior monitoring (only with ATA))
the anti-theft alarm (ATA) is partially activated.
Towing sensor
The towing sensor is activated following "Arming" on model 211.0 in 25 s, on model 211.2 in 10 s
The ATA tilt sensor (B33) is activated 10 s after closing the last door, the trunk lid (only on model 211.0) or the tailgate (model 211.2)
Interior motion sensor (only vehicles with code (882b) infrared interior monitoring (only with ATA)
The interior motion sensor (model 211.0) or the interior protection and glass breakage protection (model 211.2) is activated 10 s after closing the last door, the tailgate (only on model 211.0) or the rear door (model 211.2), the engine hood can be opened.
The interior protection sensor (E15/3b2) (not on model 211.0 with code (413) panorama sliding roof), the interior protection sensor (N70/2b1) (only on model 211.0 with code (413) panorama sliding roof), the left rear glass breakage sensor (B39) (only on model 211.2), the right rear glass breakage sensor (B39/1) (only on model 211.2) and the rear window glass breakage sensor (B39/4) (only on model 211.2) is only approved as an alarm source if it indicates the status "Okay" after arming.
Status display
The status display for the anti-theft alarm (ATA) is located in the inner central locking switch and ATA function display (N72/1s6) in the upper control panel control module (N72/1), it flashes when activated.
The LED's integrated in the towing sensor switch (S93/3s2) and in the IRS switch (S93/3s3) are actuated directly by the overhead control panel control module (N70) and indicate deactivation of the ATA tilt sensor (B33) and the interior protection sensor (E15/3b2) (not on model 211.0 with code (413) panorama sliding roof) or the interior protection sensor (N70/2b1) (only on model 211.0 with code (413) panorama sliding roof).
The acknowledgment signal starts after 0.5 s and continues for 2 s.
Acknowledgment is indicated as follows:
- Towing sensor: Continuous light
- Interior motion sensor: Flashing light
When the anti-theft alarm (ATA) is activated, later deactivation is not possible
Alarm signal horn
The alarm signal horn (H3) is immediately activated and ready for alarm when the vehicle is locked.
An analog feedback signal for optical locking confirmation is output depending on the national coding.
The alarm signal horn (H3) is activated with two different arming commands:
- When the vehicle is locked correctly (all doors, engine hood and trunk lid closed), signal "Armed closed"
- When the vehicle is not locked correctly (doors, engine hood or trunk lid open) signal "Armed open"
The differentiation serves for acoustic feedback via the alarm signal horn (H3) (buzzer feedback only
and
).
If the alarm signal horn (H3) is armed, it must be activated cyclically by the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) (hold signal). If this hold signal is missing for longer than 1 s, an alarm is started by the alarm signal horn (H3)
Rearming with remote trunk release (only on model 211.0) or tailgate remote release (only on model 211.2 with code (890) automatic tailgate)
If the trunk lid is closed after remote trunk release or the tailgate after tailgate remote release the anti-theft alarm (ATA) is completely armed.
The ATA tilt sensor (B33) and the interior protection sensor (E15/3b2) (not on model 211.0 with code (413) panorama sliding roof) or (N70/2b1) (only on model 211.0 with code (413) panorama sliding roof) (on vehicles with code (882b) infrared interior monitoring (only with ATA)) are reset to the state before remote trunk release or tailgate remote release. Previous deactivation of the towing protection or interior motion sensor is considered.
Special case driver's door (only on model 211.2)
If during activation of the anti-theft alarm (ATA) the driver's door is not closed, this is recognized by the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and stores the information "Driver's door open" on the CAN class B bus.
When the driver's door is closed, it remains unlocked to prevent a transmitter key (A8/1) from being locked in.
The anti-theft alarm (ATA) is fully activated.
Post-arming
When the vehicle is unlocked and neither of the doors, the tailgate (model 211.2) nor trunk lid (model 211.0) are opened, the vehicle is locked again after 40 s. The anti-theft alarm (ATA) is rearmed in this case
Power loss (e.g. exterior lighting switched on)
Power loss with disarmed ATA:
- When the power supply operates again, the anti-theft alarm (ATA) remains disarmed.
Power loss with armed ATA:
- When the power supply operates again, the anti-theft alarm (ATA) is automatically rearmed.
Power loss to ATA only during alarm:
- Optical alarm is interrupted, acoustic alarm of alarm signal horn (H3) is continued.
Power loss to ATA and alarm signal horn (H3) during alarm:
- Optical alarm is interrupted, acoustic alarm of alarm signal horn (H3) detects an alarm and outputs it automatically.
