| 1 | Open engine hood | ||
| 2 | Unscrew height stops (2) | ↓ |

| Adjust engine hood | AR88.40-P-3020V | ||
| 3 | Unscrew bolts (4) on both sides | ||
| 4 | Raise vehicle with lifting platform | AR00.60-P-1000V | |
| 5 | Unscrew bolts (9) on both sides | ||
| 6 | Completely turn front wheels to right and unscrew bolts (10) | ||
| 7 | Pull inner fender front section (11) toward rear until bolts (7) and the electrical connector on the left fog lamp (E5/1) are accessible | ||
| 8 | Unscrew bolts (7) | ||
| 9 | Disconnect electrical connector from left fog lamp (E5/1) | ||
| 10 | Unclip outside temperature display temperature sensor (B14) from front bumper (1) | ||
| 11 | Completely turn front wheels to left and unscrew bolts (10) | ||
| 12 | Pull inner fender front section (11) toward rear until bolts (7) and the electrical connector on the right fog lamp (E5/2) are accessible | ||
| 13 | Unscrew bolts (7) | ||
| 14 | Disconnect electrical connector from right fog lamp (E5/2) | ||
| 15.1 | Disconnect front bumper PTS connector (X26/27) | On vehicles with code (220a) Parktronic system (PTS) | |
| 16 | Unscrew nuts (5) | ||
| 17 | Remove front bumper (1) from vehicle with helper | ||
| 18.1 | Disassemble front bumper (1) | Only when replacing front bumper (1) | |
