Remove/install right engine support - AR22.10-P-4340GZA (ML350 4MATIC only)

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off the lifting platform. Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
IMPORTANT General information Engine mounts must be replaced in pairs.  
1 Disconnect ground cable of battery   AR54.10-P-0003GZ
NOTES Notes on battery   AH54.10-P-0001-01A
2 Remove engine intake air duct    
3 Remove front engine cover    
4 Remove air filter   AR09.10-P-1150GZA
5 Mount engine carrier arm   AR33.10-P-0100-01GZ
    SPECIAL TOOL Engine hoist Fig 2
6 Remove lower engine compartment paneling   AR61.20-P-1105GZ
7 Remove right catalytic converter   AR49.10-P-7100GZA
8 Remove bolt (1) of bracket (2) for oil dipstick guide pipe (3) on cylinder head TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA01.30-P-1006-01O 
9 Remove bolt (4) of ground lead (5) on right engine support (6) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA22.10-P-1001-02A 
10 Remove starter IMPORTANT Place starter with attached lines onto front axle carrier. Secure starter against falling down. AR15.30-P-7100GZA
11 Remove bolt (7) for right engine mount (8) on right engine support (6) and remove right heat shield (9) IMPORTANTInstallation:  The right heat shield (9) must be seated in anti-twist lock on right engine support (6).  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA22.10-P-1002-03G 
12 Remove bolts (10) connecting right engine mount (8) to front axle carrier TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA22.10-P-1001-03G 
13 Remove bolts (10) connecting left engine mount to front axle carrier TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA22.10-P-1001-03G 
14 Raise engine IMPORTANT When lifting engine make sure that steering coupling and lines are not damaged and that engine does not contact partition wall.  
15 Remove right engine mount (8) from below    
16 Remove right engine support (6) on crankcase TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA22.10-P-1001-02A 
17 Install in the reverse order
