	Remove/install
1	Move DIRECT SELECT gear selector switch to "N" position
2	Remove bottom engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105SX
3	Remove exhaust bracket in area of propeller shaft center support bearing (7) from underbody of vehicle		*BA61.10-P-1001-01G

4	Remove exhaust system from flange connection back	Only on vehicles with gasoline engine	AR49.10-P-7100SX
5	Remove vibration damper	Applies to vehicles with engine 272 only
6	Remove crossmember (1) on transmission tunnel		*BA62.30-P-1001-01F
7	Remove heat shield on underbody of vehicle
8	Mark position of propeller shaft (20) relative to flanges on transfer case (4) and rear axle differential (50)	This is to enable the ex-factory installation position to be restored during installation.
9	Undo bolts on propeller shaft center support bearing (7)		AR41.10-P-0050-10SX
		Installation: The bolts may only be tightened once the propeller shaft (20) on the transfer case (4) and rear axle differential (50) has been fastened firmly in place.	AR41.10-P-0050-11SX

10	Remove front flexible coupling (20V) from the transfer case (4)	The flex disk (20V) remains on the propeller shaft (20).	AR41.10-P-0050-02SX
		Installation: Mount propeller shaft (20) onto transfer case (4).	AR41.10-P-0050-07SX

11	Detach rear flex disk (20H) from rear axle center assembly (50)	The flex disk (20H) remains on the propeller shaft (20).	AR41.10-P-0050-03SX
		Installation: Mount propeller shaft (20) on rear axle center assembly (50).	AR41.10-P-0050-04SX

12	Loosen fitting sleeves in flex disks (20H, 20V)		AR41.10-P-0050-09SX
	Drift for loosening fitting sleeves in flex disks.		WF58.50-P-4110-01A
13	Secure propeller shaft (20) against falling down
14	Remove bolts from propeller shaft intermediate bearing (7) and remove propeller shaft (20) to the rear and downwards
	Checking
15	Check propeller shaft intermediate bearing (7) for wear and damage	If necessary: ↓ Remove/install propeller shaft intermediate bearing (7) and replace grooved ball bearing.	AR41.10-P-0100SX
16	Check centering sleeves for wear	If necessary:↓ Replace centering sleeve.	AR41.10-P-0200SX
17	Check flex disks (20H, 20V)
	Check propeller shaft flex disks for signs of damage and deformation		AP41.10-P-4152SX
18	Install in the reverse order
