20.3.04	Oil filler screw and oil drain screw changed on rear axle center assembly	Phased in as of 19.01.04 The oil filler screw and oil drain screw must always be replaced with new screws after removal. Clean new oil filler and drain screws as well as the tapped holes with a special cleaning spray and apply special sealing compound.	BT35.31-P-0015-01A
	The oil drain screw must always be replaced after being unscrewed from the rear axle center assembly. The new oil drain screw as well as the tapped hole must be cleaned with a special cleaning spray and a special sealing compound must be applied to the oil drain screw.		AR35.31-P-0520-06I
	Always replace oil filler screw after unscrewing rear axle center assembly.	Only carry out the oil level check at room temperature.	AR35.31-P-0520-03I
		The new oil filler screw as well as the tapped hole must be cleaned with a special cleaning spray and a special sealing compound must be applied to the oil filler screw.

	Remove
	Risk of death  cased by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

3	Remove rear axle shafts (37).		AR35.30-P-0620PF
4	Remove radial sealing ring (32).	Press radial sealing ring (32) out of rear axle center assembly (50) using a suitable tool.	AR35.31-P-0540-05FF

	Install
5	Install radial sealing ring (32).	Before installing new radial sealing ring (32), check seat surface of radial sealing ring (32) for damage to ensure proper sealing and seating. Coat lip of new radial sealing ring (32) with universal hypoid gear oil.	AR35.31-P-0540-05FF
