Retrofit fixed-installation telephone - AN82.70-P-0003P

MODEL 203.0 except CODE (855) TELE AID in combination with COMAND or radio in Audio range 

Illustrated on Model 203 sedan with radio

REMOVING Removal     
1 Disconnect ground cable of battery    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR54.10-P-0003P
2 Remove roof control unit    
3 Remove paneling at the lower left, lower and upper right of A-pillar    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.30-P-4050P
4 Remove radio    
5 Lift floor covering on driver and passenger side    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR Remove/install floor covering (left)   AR68.20-P-2050P
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR Remove/install front floor covering (right)   AR68.20-P-2070P
6 Open right wiring duct    
7 Open front interior fuse box    
8 Release front SAM control module    
9 Remove inside rearview mirror IMPORTANT Is replaced with a new inside rearview mirror with microphone.  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.40-P-0001P
10.1 Remove center console IMPORTANT For installation in armrest.  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.20-P-2000P
10.2 Remove cover from center console IMPORTANT For installation on center console.  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.20-P-2350P
11 Remove glove compartment    
12.1 Remove side wall on right of instrument panel IMPORTANT For installation on center console.  
13 Remove CD player with changer IMPORTANT Only for vehicles with CD player without sound system.  
14 Remove rear seat and rear seat backrest    
15 Remove paneling in trunk on right    
16 Release roof paneling at front and rear    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.30-P-4300P
17 Remove cover below instrument panel on left    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.10-P-1500P
INSTALLING Install     
18 Retrofit telephone control module   AN82.70-P-0002-04Q 
19 Retrofit fiber optic wiring harness IMPORTANT Vehicles without CD changer and without sound system. AN82.70-P-0002-01Q 
    IMPORTANT Vehicles with CD changer. AN82.70-P-0002-01QA 
    IMPORTANT Vehicles with sound system. AN82.70-P-0002-01QQ 
20 Cover optical waveguide NOTESDo not kink or stretch D2B fiber optic.   
    IMPORTANT Install covers on fiber-optic coupling and equipment connector.

21 Retrofit telephone cable harness   AN82.70-P-0002-03Q 
22 Install telephone antenna

23.1 Retrofit handset on center console IMPORTANT Depending on the installation location of the handset, there are different parts to be ordered. Please discuss the installation location with the customer. AN82.70-P-8916-05Q 
23.2 Retrofit handset in armrest IMPORTANT Depending on the installation location of the handset, there are different parts to be ordered. Please discuss the installation location with the customer. AN82.70-P-8916-06Q 
24 Fit remaining parts to vehicle 17-1    
25 Perform startup and function check IMPORTANT Perform nominal/actual configuration with Star diagnosis. Check telephone for proper functioning according to operating instructions.
