Removing and installing front door lock - AR72.10-P-4011P

MODEL 203

REMOVING Removing     
1 Remove door liner from front door   AR72.10-P-1000P 
2 Remove side airbag   AR91.60-P-0690P
3 Drill out pop rivets (5) or cut off Model 203.0/203.2
NOTES Remove rivet residues and chips from door, danger of rust.		  
4 Remove mount (6) Model 203.0/203.2  
5 Remove loudspeaker in front doors Model 203.7
With code (810) sound system
IMPORTANT Remove only left loudspeaker		 AR82.62-P-7845P
6 Pull foil off of inner door panel    
7 Remove outer door handle on front door IMPORTANT Only remove lock cylinder and door handle AR72.10-P-2400P 
8 Remove power window IMPORTANT Only drill off left window lift rail and unhook AR72.10-P-1800P 
9 Detach couplings of cable (1) at door control module IMPORTANT On left front door control module (N68/1), right front door control module (N69/2)  
10 Expose cable (1) up to door lock (3)    
11 Unscrew screws (2) SPECIAL TOOL Torx bit set Figure
12 Take out door lock (3) through assembly opening    
INSTALLING Installing     
13 Insert door lock (3) through assembly opening    
14 Tighten screws (2) SPECIAL TOOL Screw on door lock *BA72.10-P-1006-01A 
    CAUTION Torx bit set Figure
15 Route cable (1) IMPORTANT Up to left front door control module (N69/1), right front door control module (N69/2)  
16 Connect couplings of cable (1) at door control module IMPORTANT On left front door control module (N69/1), right front door control module (N69/2).  
17 Install power window IMPORTANT Rivet on left window lift rail AR72.10-P-1800P 
18 Install outer door handle at front door   AR72.10-P-2400P 
19 Adjust clearance IMPORTANT Loosen screw (4), tighten.  
    Right side: Left-hand thread.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw for self-adjusting clearance *BA72.10-P-1012-01A 
20 Carry out operational check    
21 Glue foil to inner door panel    
22 Install loudspeaker in front doors Model 203.7
With code (810) sound system
IMPORTANT Remove only left loudspeaker		 AR82.62-P-7845P
23 Install mount (6) Model 203.0/203.2  
24 Install side airbag unit   AR91.60-P-0690P
25 Install door liner in front door   AR72.10-P-1000P
