Remove/install rear window - AR67.20-P-2000DC: Notes

REMOVING Removing     
1 Prepare glue cartridge COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS Betagun 2K electric cartridge gun AR67.10-P-1000-07P
*WH58.30-Z-1002-20A 
*BR00.45-Z-1015-02A 
2 Remove rear pillar paneling IMPORTANT Do not unscrew belt end fitting ra68001400449x
3 Disconnect electric connections (1) from C-pillar and fasten to rear window with adhesive tape (2)    
4 Remove molding from rear window   ra67001400220x
5 Mask window cutout with adhesive tape (arrows)    
6 Close trunk lid    
7 Remove supports on clips (arrow)    
DANGER Risk of injury from slipping when clamping blade in the multicutter and from glass splinters when cutting out glued windows Always interrupt air supply when inserting or removing blade.
Wear protective gloves and eye protection.		 AS67.00-Z-0001-01A 
8 Cut rear window out of with cutting blade   AR67.20-P-2000-02DC 
    SPECIAL TOOL Figure

9 Remove rear window from body with suction cups COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS *WE58.40-Z-1029-11A 
INSTALLING Install     
10 Reinstall support on clips at same point (arrow)    
11 Prepare body flange for installation of window   AR67.10-P-1501-01P
    SPECIAL TOOL Figure
    COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS *WH58.30-Z-1003-20A 
12 Prepare window for installation   AR67.10-P-1000-03P
13 Line up rear window in the body opening   AR67.20-P-2000-04D 
    IMPORTANT Observe gap *BE67.20-P-1001-01B 
14 Apply glue   AR67.10-P-1000-08P
    IMPORTANT Height of glue bead approx. 13 mm
Install window within 10 minutes before adhesive force of glue starts to decrease		  
15 Install rear window   AR67.20-P-2000-05D 
    COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS *WE58.40-Z-1029-11A 
    IMPORTANT The curing time is approx. 1 hour from the time the window is installed
Open crank window in vehicle to prevent the rear window from being pressed outward by air pressure when the door is closed.		  
16 Install molding on rear window   ra67001400220x
17 Complete electrical connections to rear window    
18 Install rear pillar paneling   ra68001400449x
