Rear Wiper Motor Inspection
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the following parts:
- Rear wiper arm and blade (See REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Levitate upper trim (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Levitate side trim (See LIFTGATE SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Levitate lower trim (See LIFTGATE LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the rear wiper motor connector.
- Apply battery positive voltage to rear wiper motor connector terminal B, and connect terminals A and C to the ground.
- Verify that the rear wiper motor operates smoothly.
- If there is any malfunction, replace the rear wiper motor. (See REAR WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the ground from rear wiper motor connector terminal A while the rear wipers are operating, then verify that the rear wipers stop at the auto-stop position.
- If there is any malfunction, replace the rear wiper motor. (See REAR WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
