Oil Control Valve (OCV) Removal/Installation

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Set the power steering reserve tank out of the way. (See POWER STEERING OIL PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZI 3.7 V6] .)
- Remove the ventilation hose. (See QUICK RELEASE CONNECTOR (EMISSION SYSTEM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the vacuum hose. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the dynamic chamber and throttle body as a single unit. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the wiring harness.
- Remove the ignition coils. (See IGNITION COIL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the dipstick.
- Remove the cylinder head cover. (See TIMING CHAIN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the OCV.NOTE:
- The LH side is shown, however, the RH side is the same.
Tightening torque
- 9-11 N.m {92-112 kgf.cm, 80-97 in.lbf}
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
