HO2S (RH) Removal/Installation

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZI 3.7 V6] .)
- Remove the following part for easier access.
- Windshield wiper arm and blade (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Cowl grille (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Windshield wiper motor (See WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Cowl panel (See COWL PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the HO2S (RH) connector.
- Remove the front wheel and tire (RH). (See GENERAL PROCEDURES (SUSPENSION) .)
- Remove the splash shield (RH). (See SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the front drive shaft (RH) from the transaxle side. (See DRIVE SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
.)NOTE:
- If necessary, lubricate the HO2S (RH) with Penetrating and Lock Lubricant loosen to aid in removal.
- Remove the HO2S (RH) using the SST
.
NOTE:
- Apply a light coat of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the HO2S.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
