Washer Pump And Reservoir Removal/Installation

NOTE:
  • To prevent spilling windshield washer fluid, drain the windshield washer reservoir before removal.
  1. Disconnect the windshield washer hose from the windshield washer pump.
  2. Disconnect the engine coolant overflow hose from the reservoir and plug the outlet port.
  3. Disconnect the washer pump electrical connector.
  4. Position the air cleaner element aside.

  5. Remove the two screws and two nuts and remove the reservoir.

    CAUTION:
    • When removing the washer pump from the reservoir be sure not to damage the rubber grommet.
  6. Remove the washer pump from the reservoir.

    NOTE:
    • The reservoir and the washer pump are to be replaced independently.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

    Tightening torque 

    5 - 6 N.m {51-61 kgf.cm, 44 - 53 in.lbf}
