Installation [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL RADIATOR DRAIN COCK PLUG 
    NOTE:

    Replace the O-ring if it is damaged.

  2. INSTALL RADIATOR CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  3. INSTALL FILLER NECK

      *a Retainer - -
      Install in this Direction Press in this Direction
      1. Align and connect the filler neck axis and the radiator assembly axis, and push on the retainer until it makes a "click" sound.
  4. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
  5. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
  6. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

      1. Attach the 2 guides.
      2. Attach the 2 claws to install the fan with motor assembly to the radiator assembly.
        NOTE:

        Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan with motor assembly.

      1. Attach the 2 guides.
      2. Attach the 2 claws to install the cooler condenser assembly to the radiator assembly.
        NOTE:

        Make sure not to damage the cooler condenser assembly when installing the cooler condenser assembly.

      Install in this Direction - -
      1. Install the radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly to the vehicle body.
        NOTE:

        Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe and hose when installing the radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly.

      Engage the lock - -
      1. Connect the cooling fan motor connector and push down the lock lever to attach the claw as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:
        • When connecting the cooling fan motor connector, make sure that the connecting parts of the cooling fan motor connector are free of dirt, water or other foreign matter.
        • Be sure to securely connect the cooling fan motor connector.
      2. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps.
      3. Connect the cooling fan motor connector.
      4. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps.
  7. CONNECT NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING INLET HOSE 
  8. CONNECT NO. 6 INVERTER COOLING HOSE

      1. Connect the No. 6 inverter cooling hose to the radiator assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:
        • Install so that the paint mark and positioning stopper are securely overlapped.
        • Make sure the No. 6 inverter cooling hose is securely inserted to the stopper.
      2. Attach the 3 clamps to connect the No. 6 inverter cooling hose to the fan with motor assembly.
  9. CONNECT NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING HOSE

      1. Connect the No. 1 inverter cooling hose to the radiator assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:
        • Install so that the paint mark and positioning stopper are securely overlapped.
        • Make sure the No. 1 inverter cooling hose is securely inserted to the stopper.
  10. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

      1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:
        • Install so that the paint mark and positioning stopper are securely overlapped.
        • Make sure the No. 2 radiator hose is securely inserted to the stopper.
  11. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

      1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:
        • Install so that the paint mark and positioning stopper are securely overlapped.
        • Make sure the No. 1 radiator hose is securely inserted to the stopper.
      2. Attach the clamp to connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the fan with motor assembly.
  12. CONNECT NO. 6 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      1. Connect the No. 6 water by-pass hose to the filler neck as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:
        • Install so that the paint mark and positioning stopper are securely overlapped.
        • Make sure the No. 6 water by-pass hose is securely inserted to the stopper.
  13. CONNECT NO. 4 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      1. Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose to the filler neck and slide the hose clip to secure it as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:
        • Install so that the paint mark and positioning stopper are securely overlapped.
        • Make sure the No. 4 water by-pass hose is securely inserted to the stopper.
      2. Attach the clamp to connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose to the fan with motor assembly.
  14. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  15. CONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
  16. CONNECT LIQUID TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY B 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
  17. CONNECT LIQUID TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY A 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
  18. CONNECT LIQUID PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
  19. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Torque: 12.5 N.m (127 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

  20. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH 
  21. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH 
  22. INSTALL THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2023 - ]

  23. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
  24. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
  25. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL JUNCTION ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  26. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
  27. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  28. INSTALL HOOD SPRING ASSEMBLY 
  29. INSTALL INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 
  30. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  31. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
  32. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2023 - ]

  33. CHARGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  34. ADD COOLANT (for Inverter) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  35. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  36. WARM UP COMPRESSOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  37. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  38. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Inverter) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  39. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  40. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [09/2023 - ]

  41. INSTALL SUSPENSION TOWER DAMPER 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
  42. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 80

  43. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 79

  44. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 81

  45. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH
