Removal [09/2023 - 12/2023]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION (w/ Kick Sensor) 
    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [09/2023 - ]
  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/ Kick Sensor) 
    1. except Gasoline Model:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER (w/ Kick Sensor) 
    1. except Gasoline Model:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Kick Sensor) 
  5. REMOVE QUARTER PANEL WHEEL OPENING MOULDING LH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

  6. REMOVE QUARTER PANEL WHEEL OPENING MOULDING RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
  7. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT COVER LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  8. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT COVER RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
  9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY

      1. Apply protective tape around the rear bumper assembly as shown in the illustration.

      *A w/o Mudguard - -
      1. Remove the 2 clips.
      2. Remove the 2 screws.
      3. Remove the 4 clips.
      4. w/o Mudguard:

        1. Remove the 2 screws.

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Disengage the 12 claws and 2 guides as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        To avoid damaging the claws, do not forcibly pull the quarter outside moulding sub-assembly.

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Disengage the 2 claws, 6 guides and 4 pins to remove the rear bumper assembly as shown in the illustration.
      2. w/ connector:
        1. Disconnect the connector.
