Disassembly [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    When removing parts with double-sided tape applied, heat the portion of the parts with tape residue with a heat light if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove.

    Standard Value

    Part Temperature
    Metal parts 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Resin parts 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    Do not heat the part excessively.

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR SHUTTER ASSEMBLY 

    See step  2

  3. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE FRONT TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (w/ Panoramic View Monitor System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  5. REMOVE FRONT CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  6. REMOVE FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  7. REMOVE FRONT CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
  8. REMOVE FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the front center ultrasonic sensor retainer.
  9. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER COVER LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  10. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER COVER RH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  11. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  12. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  13. REMOVE NO. 2 WASHER BRACKET (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
  14. REMOVE WASHER BRACKET (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the No. 2 washer bracket.
  15. REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Fog Light) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  16. REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Fog Light) 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  17. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE (OR FRONT PANEL) EMBLEM 
    1. w/ Heater:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

      *a Double-sided Tape - -
      1. Heat the adhesive of the front bumper reinforcement extension LH using a heat light.
      2. Remove the 3 screws and front bumper reinforcement extension LH.
  26. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT EXTENSION RH 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  27. REMOVE NO. 1 MOULDING TAPE

      1. Heat the adhesive of the No. 1 moulding tape using a heat light.
      2. Remove the No. 1 moulding tape.
    2. Use the same procedure for the other side.
  28. REMOVE ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP

      1. Heat the adhesive of the ultrasonic sensor clip using a heat light.
      2. Remove the 6 ultrasonic sensor clips.

      1. Heat the adhesive of the front bumper retainer using a heat light.
      2. Remove the 3 front bumper retainers.

      *a Tape *b Flange
      1. Insert a 6.0 mm (0.236 in.) drill bit into a drill.
      2. Tape the 6.0 mm (0.236 in.) drill bit 5.0 mm (0.197 in.) from the tip as shown in the illustration.

        Standard Measurement

        A 5.0 mm (0.197 in.) - -
        NOTE:

        Tape the 6.0 mm (0.236 in.) drill bit to prevent the drill bit from going too deep.

      3. Lightly press the drill against the rivets to drill off the rivet flanges, and remove the 3 rivets.
        WARNING:

        Be careful of the drilled rivets, as they may be hot.

        NOTE:
        • Pressing the drill too firmly will cause the rivet to turn and result in the rivet not being drilled through.
        • Prying the rivets with the drill may damage the rivet installation holes or drill bit.
      4. Detach the guide and remove the front bumper No. 2 retainer bracket.
  41. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER NO. 1 RETAINER BRACKET 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the front bumper No. 2 retainer bracket.
  42. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER MOUNTING BRACKET LH

      *a Tape *b Flange
      1. Insert a 6.0 mm (0.236 in.) drill bit into a drill.
      2. Tape the 6.0 mm (0.236 in.) drill bit 5.0 mm (0.197 in.) from the tip as shown in the illustration.

        Standard Measurement

        A 5.0 mm (0.197 in.) - -
        NOTE:

        Tape the 6.0 mm (0.236 in.) drill bit to prevent the drill bit from going too deep.

      3. Lightly press the drill against the rivets to drill off the rivet flanges, and remove the 3 rivets and front bumper mounting bracket LH.
        WARNING:

        Be careful of the drilled rivets, as they may be hot.

        NOTE:
