Disassembly [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

NOTE:After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Refer to REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR UPPER TRIM COVER LH
- REMOVE DOOR ARMREST COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 - REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR PANEL PROTECTOR LH
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR OUTSIDE SEAL LH
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE OUTER MIRROR INSTALL HOLE COVER LH

- REMOVE HOLE PLUG
- REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 - REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH
*a Location Mark *b Bead Mark Turn in this Direction - - - Disconnect the connector and detach the clamp.
- Turn the service hole cover clip 45°clockwise to remove the 3 service hole cover clips as shown in the illustration.
- Detach the clip to remove front door service hole cover LH.
- Pull out the open lever front door lock remote control cable assembly LH and front door inside locking cable assembly LH from the front door service hole cover LH.
- REMOVE SIDE AIRBAG PRESSURE SENSOR LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 - REMOVE HOLE PLUG
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- Connect the connector.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal and turn the ignition switch to ON.

- Move the front door glass sub-assembly LH so that the door glass bolts can be seen.
Remove in this Direction - - - Turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.WARNING:
Refer to REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the 2 bolts.NOTE:
After the bolts are removed, do not allow the front door glass sub-assembly LH to fall.
- Remove the front door glass sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the front door glass sub-assembly LH.
- Turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN LH
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK CONTROL KNOB HOLDER
- REMOVE DOOR LOCK CONTROL KNOB BEZEL LH
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR WIRE LH

- REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY LH
Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the claw and pull up the connector cover as shown in the illustration.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disconnect the connector.
- Detach the claw and pull up the holder as shown in the illustration.
- Remove the front door outside handle assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE HOLE PLUG
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER (for Front Passenger Side)
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 - REMOVE DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 - REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRONT OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN ROD LH
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY LH
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH NOTE:
When removing the front door weatherstrip LH, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the front door weatherstrip LH using a heat light.
STANDARD VALUEPart Temperature Front Door Weatherstrip LH 20 to 30 °C (68 to 86 °F) WARNING:- Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
- Touching the heat light may result in burns.
- Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.
*a Heated Part *b Heat Light NOTE:Do not heat the front door weatherstrip LH excessively.

- Using a clip remover with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the clips.
- Remove the double-sided tape and front door weatherstrip.NOTE:
Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the front door panel.
Double-sided Tape - - - Heat the adhesive of the front door weatherstrip LH using a heat light.
- Detach the double-sided Tape and clip to remove the front door weatherstrip LH.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRONT LOWER FRAME UPPER COVER LH

- REMOVE HOLE PLUG
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR DUST PROOF SEAL
- REMOVE SCREW GROMMET
- REMOVE NO. 1 BLACK OUT TAPE LH

- REMOVE FRONT DOOR NO. 3 WEATHERSTRIP LH (w/ Weatherstrip) NOTE:HINT: In order to remove the front door No. 3 weatherstrip LH, first remove the front door panel.
When removing the front door No. 3 weatherstrip LH, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the front door weatherstrip LH using a heat light.
STANDARD VALUEPart Temperature Front Door No. 3 Weatherstrip LH 20 to 30 °C (68 to 86 °F) WARNING:- Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
- Touching the heat light may result in burns.
- Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.
*a Heated Part *b Heat Light NOTE:Do not heat the front door No. 3 weatherstrip LH excessively.
Double-sided Tape - - - Remove the 4 bolts and front door panel LH.WARNING:
Be sure to perform this procedure with 2 or more persons as the part is very heavy.
- Heat the adhesive of the front door No. 3 weatherstrip LH using a heat light.
- Detach the double-sided Tape and clip to remove the front door No. 3 weatherstrip LH.
- Remove the 4 bolts and front door panel LH.
