Removal [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing.

    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [12/2023 - ]
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR UPPER TRIM COVER LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
  4. REMOVE DOOR ARMREST COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  5. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR OUTSIDE SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16
  11. REMOVE HOLE PLUG 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18

  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19
  13. REMOVE DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  16. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28
  17. REMOVE HOLE PLUG (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29

  18. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30
  19. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 "TORX" screws.
      2. Remove the front door lock with motor assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
  20. REMOVE DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL 
    NOTE:

    When reusing a removed front door lock with motor assembly, replace the door lock wiring harness seal with a new one.

  21. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the claw as shown in the illustration.
      2. Detach the guide to remove the front door lock cover sub-assembly LH.
