Removal [12/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY 
  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8
  3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. DRAIN COOLANT (for Intercooler) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 
  6. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY RH WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY LH WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  9. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      Move the Retainer Upwards Disconnect the Water By-pass Hose Assembly

    If the engine coolant temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      1. Push the lever down to release the lock and disconnect the connector A.
      2. Disconnect the connector B.
      3. Remove the 2 bolts and cooling fan wire.
  20. REMOVE NO. 1 V BELT (COOLER COMPRESSOR TO CRANKSHAFT PULLEY) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
  21. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  22. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR TUBE SUPPORT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  23. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7
  24. REMOVE FAN SHROUD

      1. Loosen the 4 nuts holding the fluid coupling assembly with fan.
      2. Remove the 2 bolts holding the fan shroud.
      3. Remove the 4 nuts.
      4. Remove the fan shroud together with the fluid coupling assembly with fan.
        NOTE:

        Be careful not to damage the radiator core.

      5. Remove the fan pulley from the engine water pump assembly.

  39. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

      1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.
      2. Remove the O-ring from the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.
        NOTE:

        Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

  40. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE

      1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.
      2. Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.
        NOTE:

        Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

  41. REMOVE RADIATOR WITH COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Detach the clamp and disconnect the connector.
      2. Remove the 6 bolts.
      3. Remove the radiator with cooler condenser assembly from the vehicle as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:
        • Perform the following procedure with 2 or more people to prevent damage to the radiator with cooler condenser assembly.
        • When removing the radiator with cooler condenser assembly from the vehicle, do not apply excessive force to the cooler pipe or cooling hoses.
