Installation [05/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that the engine switch is off.
    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
      WARNING:
      • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
      • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

    3. Connect the airbag connector and push the lock button to the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.

      Push in this Direction
      NOTE:
      • When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
      • Make sure the lock button is securely locked.
    4. Attach the claws to connect the DLC3.

      *a Wire Harness Clamp
    5. Attach the wire harness clamp.
    6. Attach the hooks to temporarily install the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.
    7. Install the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    8. Check that there is no looseness in the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26

  3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35

  5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR NO. 2 OPENING TRIM COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 36

  6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38

  7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40

  8. INSTALL BOX PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  9. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE BOX 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  10. INSTALL SHIFTING HOLE COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  11. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  12. INSTALL RADIO REMOTE TUNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  13. INSTALL CONSOLE PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  14. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  15. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING BATTERY TERMINAL 

    HINT: 

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

  16. INSTALL NO. 2 DECK BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  17. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK

  18. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
