Disassembly [12/2021 - ]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
Refer to REMOVAL [12/2021 - ]
- REMOVE NO. 2 DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL
- REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL
- REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 - REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- INSTALL REAR DOOR LOCK CONTROL KNOB HOLDER (w/o Sunshade)
- INSTALL DOOR LOCK CONTROL KNOB BEZEL (w/o Sunshade)
- REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 - REMOVE REAR CURTAIN SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Sunshade)
- REMOVE REAR DOOR UPPER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7
- REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BASE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH WITH DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SEAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 - REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 25 Speakers)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 - REMOVE NO. 2 INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM ORNAMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE SUNSHADE HOOK (w/ Sunshade)
- REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH
- REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS INNER WEATHERSTRIP
- REMOVE REAR DOOR FRONT BELT SEAL
- REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR BELT SEAL
- REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
- Disconnect the 2 connectors.
- Disengage the clamps.
- Using a clip remover with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the clips and remove the rear door service hole cover.
- Pull out the rear door lock remote control cable assembly and rear door inside locking cable assembly from the rear door service hole cover as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN
- REMOVE NO. 2 REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
- REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Insert a 4.0 mm (0.157 in.) drill bit into a drill.
- Tape the 4.0 mm (0.157 in.) drill bit 5.0 mm (0.197 in.) from the tip as shown in the illustration.
Standard Measurement
Area Measurement Area Measurement A 5.0 mm (0.197 in.) - - NOTE:Tape the 4.0 mm (0.157 in.) drill bit to prevent the drill bit from going too deep.
- Lightly press the drill against the rivet to drill off the rivet flange, and remove the rivet.WARNING:
Be careful of the drilled rivet, as they may be hot.
NOTE:- Pressing the drill too firmly will cause the rivet to turn and result in the rivet not being drilled through.
- Prying the rivet with the rivet with the may damage the rivet installation hole or drill bit.
- Remove the 2 bolts and remove the rear door window division bar sub-assembly.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the hole plug.
- Connect the connector to the power window regulator switch assembly with rear door armrest base panel.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2021 - ]
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Move the rear door glass sub-assembly until the bolts appear in the service holes.
- Turn the ignition switch off.
Remove in this Direction - - - Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
Refer to REMOVAL [12/2021 - ]
- Disconnect the connector from the power window regulator switch assembly with rear door armrest base panel.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the rear door glass sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
Do not damage the rear door glass sub-assembly.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS
- REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW WEATHERSTRIP
- REMOVE REAR MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR COMPUTER (w/ Easy Closer)
- REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 10 Speakers)

- REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Easy Closer)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 - REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY (w/o Easy Closer)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 - REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY
Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2) - Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claws.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disconnect the connector.
- Disengage the claws and move the lever as shown in the illustration.
- Remove the rear door outside handle assembly as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRONT PAD
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE REAR PAD
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
- REMOVE REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 - REMOVE REAR NO. 4 DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
Double-sided Tape - - - Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the clip.
- Disengage the guide to remove the rear door No. 4 weatherstrip.
- Remove the double-sided tape with rear door No. 4 weatherstrip from rear door panel.NOTE:
Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the rear door panel.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING

Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 - REMOVE REAR DOOR UPPER WINDOW FRAME MOULDING

- REMOVE REAR DOOR LOWER OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP
- REMOVE REAR DOOR PANEL PROTECTOR
- REMOVE REAR DOOR DUST PROOF SEAL
- REMOVE HOLE PLUG
