Removal [12/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [12/2021 - ]
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2021 - ]

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
  4. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
  5. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE SUNSHADE HOOK (w/ Sunshade) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  8. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18
  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS INNER WEATHERSTRIP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19

  10. REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR BELT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  11. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  12. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  13. REMOVE NO. 2 REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24
  14. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25
  15. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26
  16. REMOVE DOOR LOCK COVER SET

  17. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Easy Closer)

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Disconnect the connectors and disengage the clamps.
      2. Remove the 2 bolts.
      3. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws and rear door lock with motor assembly.
      4. Remove the rear door lock with motor assembly as shown in the illustration.
  18. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY (w/o Easy Closer)

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Disconnect the connector.
      2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.
      3. Remove the rear door lock with motor assembly as shown in the illustration.
  19. REMOVE DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL (w/ Easy Closer) 
    NOTE:

    When reusing a removed rear door lock with motor assembly, replace the door lock wiring harness seal with a new one.

  20. REMOVE DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL (w/o Easy Closer) 
    NOTE:

    When reusing a removed rear door lock with motor assembly, replace the door lock wiring harness seal with a new one.

  21. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Easy Closer)

      1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claws as shown in the illustration.
      2. Disengage the claws to remove the rear door lock cover sub-assembly.
  22. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Easy Closer)

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claws as shown in the illustration.
      2. Disengage the claws to remove the rear door lock cover sub-assembly.
