Removal [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
PRECAUTION
WARNING:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing. Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2015 - ] .

NOTE:
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work. Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2015 - ] .
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2015 - 08/2019] Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2019 - ] .

REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

REMOVE INNER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACKET COVER RH

REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

Remove the 4 bolts.

Using a screwdriver, release the connector lock and disconnect the airbag connector.

NOTE:

When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
