Disassembly [03/2017 - 06/2019]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER MOUNTING BRACKET 
    1. Detach the 2 clips and remove the front bumper mounting bracket.

  2. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE (OR FRONT PANEL) EMBLEM 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the claws and guides and remove the radiator grille (or front panel) emblem.

  4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and front bumper extension mounting bracket.

  5. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  6. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  7. REMOVE NO. 4 ENGINE ROOM WIRE (w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System) 
    1. Disconnect the connector and remove the No. 4 engine room wire.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  8. REMOVE FRONT MARKER LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]

  9. REMOVE FRONT MARKER LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  10. REMOVE NO. 4 ENGINE ROOM WIRE (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  11. REMOVE FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  12. REMOVE FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  13. REMOVE FRONT CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  14. REMOVE ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  15. REMOVE LOWER SIDE RADIATOR GRILLE LH 
    1. Detach the claws and remove the lower side radiator grille LH.

  16. REMOVE LOWER SIDE RADIATOR GRILLE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  17. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER GARNISH LH

    *1 Front Bumper Side Retainer
    Remove in this Direction
    Protective Tape
    1. Apply protective tape around the front bumper garnish LH.
    2. Remove the screw and front bumper side retainer.
    3. Detach the clips and claws and remove the front bumper garnish LH.
    4. Remove the protective tape.
  18. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER GARNISH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the front bumper garnish LH.

  19. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH 

    HINT: 

    When removing the No. 1 front bumper side support LH, heat the front bumper cover and No. 1 front bumper side support LH using a heat light.

    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.

  20. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  21. REMOVE NO. 1 MOULDING TAPE 

    HINT: 

    When removing the No. 1 moulding tape, heat the front bumper cover and No. 1 moulding tape using a heat light.

  22. REMOVE NO. 2 MOULDING TAPE 

    HINT: 

    When removing the No. 2 moulding tape, heat the front bumper cover and No. 2 moulding tape using a heat light.

  23. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH 
    1. Detach the claws.

    2. Detach the anti-drop hook and remove the front bumper hole cover RH.
  24. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RETAINER 
    1. Detach the claw and remove the front fender liner retainer.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  25. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 8 screws.

    2. Detach the claws and guides and remove the radiator grille sub-assembly.

  26. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING 
    1. Remove the 4 screws.

    2. Detach the claws and remove the radiator grille moulding.

  27. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING 
    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the claws and remove the No. 2 radiator grille moulding.

  28. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR GRILLE 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the claws and remove the upper radiator grille from the lower radiator grille.

  31. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [03/2017 - 04/2020]

    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  32. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative(-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [03/2017 - 05/2023]

  33. REMOVE NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER MOUNTING BRACKET 
    1. Check that the engine switch off.
    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
      • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
    3. Disconnect the 2 connectors of the pedestrian detection chamber assembly.
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting any pedestrian detection chamber assembly connector, take care not to damage the wire harness.

      1. Push down the housing lock and slide the CPA. (At this time, the connector cannot be disconnected yet.)

      2. Push the housing lock again and disconnect the connector.
        NOTE:

        Do not push down the upper part of the CPA shown in the illustration when disconnecting the pedestrian detection chamber assembly connector.

      3. After disconnecting the connector, check that the position of the housing lock is correct as shown in the illustration.

    4. Remove the 2 bolts.

    5. Detach the claws and guides and remove the No. 2 front bumper mounting bracket with the front bumper energy absorber.
