Removal [03/2017 - 05/2023]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2017 - 05/2023]

  2. REMOVE NO. 4 ENGINE ROOM WIRE

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Detach the clamps and remove the No. 4 engine room wire.
  3. REMOVE FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR 
    1. Detach the claws and remove the front corner ultrasonic sensor.

      NOTE:

      Before removing the sensor, make sure to mark the sensor and front bumper cover so that each sensor can be returned to its original position.

  4. REMOVE FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER 

    HINT: 

    When removing the front corner ultrasonic sensor retainer, heat the front bumper assembly and front corner ultrasonic sensor retainer using a heat light.

    1. Heat the front bumper assembly and front corner ultrasonic sensor retainer using a heat light at the specified temperature for 3 to 5 minutes.

      • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
      • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
      • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

      Remove the front corner ultrasonic sensor retainer.

  5. REMOVE FRONT CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR 
    1. Detach the claws and remove the front center ultrasonic sensor.

      NOTE:

      Before removing the sensor, make sure to mark the sensor and front bumper cover so that each sensor can be returned to its original position.

  6. REMOVE ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP 

    HINT: 

    • When removing the ultrasonic sensor clip, heat the front bumper assembly and ultrasonic sensor clip using a heat light.
    • Use the same procedure for the other ultrasonic sensor clips.
    1. Heat the front bumper assembly and ultrasonic sensor clip using a heat light at the specified temperature for 3 to 5 minutes.

    2. Remove the ultrasonic sensor clip.
