Removal [07/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [07/2020 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [05/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [07/2020 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [05/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [07/2020 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [05/2023 - ]

  4. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [07/2020 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [05/2023 - ]

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [07/2020 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [05/2023 - ]

  6. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER REINFORCEMENT 

    See step  5 [07/2020 - 05/2023], or see step  5 [05/2023 - ]

  7. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  8. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [07/2020 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [05/2023 - ]

  9. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [07/2020 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [05/2023 - ]

  10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER WITH ELEMENT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29 [07/2020 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29 [05/2023 - ]

  11. REMOVE AIR CLEANER WITH ELEMENT ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28 [07/2020 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28 [05/2023 - ]

  12. DISCONNECT NO. 2 PCV HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  13. DISCONNECT NO. 3 PCV HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  14. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  15. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [07/2020 - 05/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [05/2023 - ]

  16. DISCONNECT RESERVE TANK OUTLET HOSE

    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the reserve tank outlet hose from the water inlet housing.
  17. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  18. DISCONNECT NO. 3 RADIATOR HOSE 

    See step  27 [07/2020 - 05/2023], or see step  27 [05/2023 - ]

  19. REMOVE WATER INLET HOUSING 
    1. Remove the bolt and separate the wire harness clamp bracket from the water inlet housing.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose from the water inlet housing.

    3. Remove the 3 bolts and separate the water inlet housing from the engine water pump assembly.

    4. Remove the No. 1 water inlet housing gasket from the engine water pump assembly.
    5. Slide the 2 clips and remove the water inlet hose from the water inlet housing and front water by-pass joint.

    6. Slide the clip and remove the water inlet housing from the No. 3 water by-pass hose.

  20. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY 
    1. Using a screwdriver or equivalent with its tip wrapped in protective tape, hold the water pump pulley.

      *a Protective Tape
      *b Hold
      *c Turn
    2. Remove the 4 bolts and water pump pulley.
  21. REMOVE ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 9 bolts, engine water pump assembly and water pump gasket from the timing chain cover assembly.
