Removal [10/2018 - 07/2022]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    See step  1

  3. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  4. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE 
    1. Disconnect the engine room main wire.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

    2. Remove the connector cover assembly.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

    3. Check the terminal voltage.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

    4. Install the connector cover assembly.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

    5. Connect the engine room main wire.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  6. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt to disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly from the compressor with motor assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the refrigerant discharge hose sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      Wrap protective tape around the connecting portions of the disconnected refrigerant discharge hose sub-assembly and compressor with motor assembly to prevent contamination by foreign matter or water droplets.

  7. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt to disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly from the compressor with motor assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the suction hose sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      Wrap protective tape around the connecting portions of the disconnected suction hose sub-assembly and the compressor with motor assembly to prevent contamination by foreign matter or water droplets.

  8. REMOVE COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the green-colored lock of the connector A as shown in the illustration to release it and disconnect the connector.

      *a Connector A
      *b Connector B
      *c Green-colored Lock
      WARNING:

      Make sure to wear insulating gloves.

      NOTE:

      Insulate the disconnected terminals and connector with insulating tape.

    2. Disconnect the connector B.
    3. Remove the 3 bolts and compressor with motor assembly.
