Removal [10/2018 - 07/2022]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

- REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP
Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]
- CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE
- Disconnect the engine room main wire.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- Remove the connector cover assembly.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12
- Check the terminal voltage.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13
- Install the connector cover assembly.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
- Connect the engine room main wire.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29
- Disconnect the engine room main wire.
- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6
- DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the bolt to disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly from the compressor with motor assembly.
- Remove the O-ring from the refrigerant discharge hose sub-assembly.NOTE:
Wrap protective tape around the connecting portions of the disconnected refrigerant discharge hose sub-assembly and compressor with motor assembly to prevent contamination by foreign matter or water droplets.
- Remove the bolt to disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly from the compressor with motor assembly.
- DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the bolt to disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly from the compressor with motor assembly.
- Remove the O-ring from the suction hose sub-assembly.NOTE:
Wrap protective tape around the connecting portions of the disconnected suction hose sub-assembly and the compressor with motor assembly to prevent contamination by foreign matter or water droplets.
- Remove the bolt to disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly from the compressor with motor assembly.
- REMOVE COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
- Slide the green-colored lock of the connector A as shown in the illustration to release it and disconnect the connector.
*a Connector A *b Connector B *c Green-colored Lock WARNING:Make sure to wear insulating gloves.
NOTE:Insulate the disconnected terminals and connector with insulating tape.
- Disconnect the connector B.
- Remove the 3 bolts and compressor with motor assembly.
- Slide the green-colored lock of the connector A as shown in the illustration to release it and disconnect the connector.
