Removal [09/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. DISABLE AUTOAWAY/RETURN FUNCTION (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column) 
    1. Disable the autoaway/return function by changing the customize parameter.

      Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [10/2014 - ]

      WARNING:

      Record the current customize parameter setting (whether the autoaway/return function is enabled or disabled) in order to restore the current setting after finishing the operation.

      HINT: 

      Performing the above operation causes the autoaway/return function to be disabled when the engine switch is turned off.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Operate the tilt and telescopic switch to fully extend and lower the steering column assembly.
    3. Turn the engine switch off.
  2. REMOVE CONSOLE ARMREST ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [09/2017 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [05/2019 - ]

  3. REMOVE UPPER REAR CONSOLE PANEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [09/2017 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [05/2019 - ]

  4. REMOVE UPPER NO. 2 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [09/2017 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [05/2019 - ]

  5. REMOVE UPPER NO. 1 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [09/2017 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [05/2019 - ]

  6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [09/2017 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [05/2019 - ]

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [09/2017 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [05/2019 - ]

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [09/2017 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [05/2019 - ]

  9. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [09/2017 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [05/2019 - ]

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [09/2017 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [05/2019 - ]

  11. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [09/2017 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [05/2019 - ]

  12. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [09/2017 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [05/2019 - ]

  13. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [09/2017 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [05/2019 - ]

  14. REMOVE MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [09/2017 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [05/2019 - ]

  15. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [09/2017 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [05/2019 - ]

  16. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [09/2017 - 05/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [05/2019 - ]

  17. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 screws.

      *a Screw
    2. Disconnect the connectors, detach the clamp and remove the combination meter assembly.
